The concept of learning and earning through schools garden in Kamuli was introduced in March 2014 SNV and Lunch4Learning as implementing partner to help households with good agricultural practices so as to increase on food production and afford to pay all school dues for their school going children and take part on school activities hence school development and good performances.

 

Our Programmes

Water Harvesting

Lunch4Learning also aims at providing equitable community access to safe water, improved sanitation and hygiene by supporting programmes that enhance communities’ awareness of the benefits of safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

Food Security

This component will improve smallholder farmer access to start-up materials to increase household production of nutritious foods, while implementing targeted nutrition and health education through schools….. and

Nutrition Agriculture

Praise from stakeholders

Mr. Wakabi who represented the chairperson was full of excitement by what he saw and what he had been able to learn on the tour. The CAO Mr. Sulemani Jalwiny praised and thanked SNV and Lunch4Learning for upholding the LEARN programme which he said had created an ideal environment for practical learning especially by the school children. He was fascinated by the parent’s report on how they harvested 980Kgs of maize from half an acre.
